Phil,
I disagree with your position. First, it is an option in N1MM Logger
whether or not that "spot all S&P QSOs" is on or off, the default is
off. While CQing spots are not automatically generated. Secondly, I
turn it on to help others, especially my club members. Third, I
appreciate the spots while I am running. Fourth, it helps promote
RTTY activity. And fifth, it takes too much time to manually spot contacts.
You can filter out most of the unwanted spots.

Hi all,
Someone (it may have been Jamie WW3S) wrote that N1MM can be configured to
"automatically" send all spots while in S&P mode.
If this is true, then this feature is a pain! N1MM really ought to disable
this feature, and make spotting a manual affair. There is no good reason to
generate a spot automatically.
I really cannot think of any good reason why someone in S&P mode would want
to spot everything worked. And surely you would notice?
This may well explain why it seems to happen quite a bit lately.
It may also explain some of the announcements one sees on the cluster on
occasions about folk listing their "log".
Maybe someone could QSP this to the N1MM reflector (assuming it is correct)?
