Oh dear.
The first WPX contest I was in was 1982 CW WPX. I had just received the call
KU2Q and had never heard of WPX. That first weekend I got on CW with my
brand new call and sent a CQ. Someone came back to me and told me about the
contest. Then millions of people kept calling me. I was swamped. I sent 599
005 to about 100 people  because a five was easy to send.

I don't feel guilty. You shouldn't either.
