At this stage I intend to maintain and update
    only the Windows programs

There have been several comments regarding ending of DOS support including
the issue of the grade of PC in use. I use a "slow laptop" (its a P90
with 16MB of RAM and Win 95, will this be adequate to run the Win versions
of SD properly? ) Like many of the older amateur fraternity I run on a
very tight budget and have really been delighted to use the DOS versions of
SD. I use LOG-EQF as my "main" log, this choice was based mainly on that
programs ability in DOS to run on anything from a 286 upwards.

While I don't have any expertise in programming, (OU Pascal course 1990 -
found it harder than changing the XYLs mind) I can understand that there
must be an added workload in maintaining two sets of programmes, but would
very much welcome support for the DOS versions to be ongoing if at all
possible.
thanks
        Tony G3ZRJ
