That's interesting. I never saw that problem with mine on 40 meters.
Could it be a grounding wire resonance or antenna issue that causes RF
to get into the radio?
I once had a problem with birdies with the 17 meter module. Moving
around some of the harness wires that connect to the band module socket
cured it.
