Too right, Rich! Possibly yacht varnish might do, but proper potting is
likely to be far better. Vacuum impregnation even more so, if you can. I
suspect that even indoors, in some parts of the US where you get very high
humidity, you're likely to be in a position to get trouble with plain paper
insulation. Arizona is probably OK; Florida and Oklahoma and so - on, be
warned!
