Here's a partial quote from the intro to the rfamplifiers group on Yahoo:
"Yes, there are a number of other amplifier groups on yahoo. One of the
groups has excessive list moderation, the other is related to eleven
meter amps. Most of the usenet groups are now full of spam and coloured
pill ads. It would be our preference to keep the posts related, but not
limited to RF Amplifiers. Audio amplifier people are also welcome to
join in."
Sounds like a pretty good attitude to me. For the whole intro, go to:

I just joined yesterday so I don't have any personal experience with
