There is a down side to long term HF QRO exposure. My father in law worked at
HF tx stations running many hundreds of kW in total. A photo of him is extant,
showing him on night duty, asleep in a chair with his feet up on another chair,
illustrating the effects of a short exposure. The long term effects of this
exposure has led to the current situation, which is where there is a very
definite appreciation of beer, white wine, and whiskey, together with a
disinclination to do any dish washing or drying, or indeed, anything else
around the house. He's also 80 this year.
