Subject: [Amps] 3CX3000A7 input impedance

A friend of mine is building up a 3CX3000A7 amp and asked me what the input
impedance is. Seems that I used 50 ohms when I built mine but I'm not sure.

The Eimac tech sheet says a 3x3 running in AB2 cathode driven will have an
input impedance of 50 ohms. Can anyone verify that for me?

Thanks,
Bob W6TR

I can verify that, Bob. I am running a 3X3 on 160 meters here, and I
designed the input Pi-Net for 50 ohms in and out, with a Q of about 3-5, or
so. The VSWR is 1:1 across the band.
