Greetings,

Many have contributed to the PCB thread.

etc.

Let me add my tuppence worth.

1. PCB's are dangerous to living things.

2. There are transformers, capacitors, and the like that are perfectly safe to
use.

The real danger to living things is the IMPROPER disposal of PCB containing
devices. PCB's in sealed cans present little danger. PCB's in the water, air,
on the
ground, are dangerous. If your PCB device is leaking don't go dump it in the
creek,
or on the ground, but rather, get it to the hazmat people. If it's sound, use
it.

I tend not to buy PCB containing devices, because I won't want my grandkids to
have
to deal with the disposal problem. [Remember what a pain it is to get rid of
asbestos
these days?]

Use stuff safely; dispose of it properly.
