I guess you need to come down off your pedestal Jim and try to
understand what I said.
I was not advocating drinking or bathing in it by any convoluted stretch
of your imagination. My comment was simply ridiculing the paranoia and
mythology surrounding the subject as regard to ham use. Industrial
pollution or other chemical formulations are not part of the discussion.
However, no responsible study has shown that a casual skin contact with
transformer oil ( generic term covering caps and dummy loads) has harmed
a human. I dont consider Wikipedia as a responsible source of anything
since anyone can edit with their own biases.
If my GE Pyranol capacitor started to leak I would toss it out the same
as if a later non PCB cap leaked. But I wouldnt think twice about using
another good one as a replacement.
Suggesting that I would intentionally physically hurt anyone on here is
the height of irresponsibility on your part.
