I ran a pair of GG 813's mobile for years in the 1960's. Most of the surplus
houses back then had them for $5.00 NIB! I never had to change out the
original pair. I obtained the 10 volts for the filaments by using a long run
of hook-up wire from the car battery. Life was cheap and simple in those
days.
