Gary, in the link referenced above you make the statement: "I see that
things just happen to work out that using plate current times
tank Q also gives the approximate current thru the plate tune C. But I
understand that Q is not needed if plate voltage is used to determine
current thru the tune capacitor."

My question is about the second sentence. If you don't need Q in the
equation, how do you determine current through the tune cap using only
plate voltage?
