Best test of ham radio amplifier:
1. ceramic or solid state: is it steaming or smoking?
2. tubes: are they at least cherry red?
Then u r getting out!
Engineers run them conservative; real hams run them until they break, fix
them, and run them hard again. Porsche 911s were not manufactured to drive at
55.... Alphas and Henrys are not made to be ONE KW rigs.................73,
