        It sounds as though you may have answered your own question.

        Perhaps consider the economics of lightning damage and then
ask your question again?

        Just a guess as no one would ever confuse me with an ee.  :-)

I can't see a direct economic impact in this case apart from perhaps
better lightning mitigation when one side of the utility transformer
primary is grounded.
