thanks for your suggestions! I checked the data of the cables suggested, and
among them I like the RG-400 best. RG-142 would be usable too, but the added
flexibility of RG-400 seems better suited to my amp, in case boards have to be
lifted, moved, without disconnecting the cables.
I don't think I will bother with thinner cable for the input wiring. RG-400
should be flexible enough to use throughout the amp, and the pieces I need are
so short, that there is no point in ordering two different cables.
As Jim wrote, I too love PTFE-insulated cable, because it doesn't melt when
soldering.
