If distilled water were De ionized, it would not be corrosive.

## say what ? If distilled water actually is De ionized, it would be
eating metal fittings left and right. De ionized implies that it is ion
depleted.
If its ion depleted, then it will attract the ions from any metal..which is
why the
metal gets eaten away.
