That's one argument for a tube amp; tubes would more more comfortable than SS 
with that high of a temperature.

If 45 watts minus losses won't drive the remote-mounted amp to the power you 
want, you could amplify the 45 watts before it leaves the operating station.  
Of course, that's more expense.

You almost certainly need a preamp for the received signal you're sending back 
from the antenna to the operating station.
