In a message dated 97-11-20 11:21:25 EST, you write:

<< If you KNOW that the other guy got your call WRONG, then NO qso took
place!
If the other guy doesn't send your corrected call back, then you will just
have to take a guess at whether or not to log the call in good conscience.
But if you KNOW he got it wrong???? NO WAY I'D LOG IT!

This is the same thing that baffled me in SS CW, but with DUPES! I called a
few people who thought I was a dupe. When I told them they weren't in my log,
some of them apparently self-righteously either explicitly refused to work me
or ignored me! I can't imagine how anyone would not work me just because they
thought I was a dupe. If I don't have them in my log, they simply aren't
getting credit for that QSO! Seems like a stupid thing to do.

How could someone think I worked them and not show up in my log? Easy,
especially with high rates on a busy band, I undoubtedly worked someone else
while they were thinking I was working them. This also makes a good case for
both stations sending both calls every QSO.
