"Friendly" warnings? If it had been a ham, operating on some public
service frequency, it is more likely his equipment would have been
seized, a violation fine, and probably license revocation.

Let's face it guys, it would take 1 FCC mobile near a major truck stop
on an interstate to make a small dent in this. Now just how much could
this cost if done for only a few days?

Bottom line, the FCC speaks out of one side of its mouth, and does
another. Or for that matter, why not have State DOTS cooperate and any
truck pulled over for a routine check be also checked for radio gear
on 10 meters, not to mention those amps? Stop that truck in its tracks
for a couple of days, and the word would get out very quickly.

But, it will never happen.
