i have written an article for the NCJ that discusses the correct way to
build a 100 watt output contest final (a follow up to the article found
on page 44 of the November 1956 CQ magazine, at that time the definitive
reference on 100 watt input contest finals), and if my article ever gets
published, i must state that no dogs or horses were either hurt or
injured in its writing, and that all my amplifiers shown are capable of
running a measured 100 watts output, and do so in all contests. 

contesting is a gentleman's sport, and therefore we are all to be
gentlemen. if any wife found out her husband was cheating that guy would
be sleeping with the dog - at least at my house.
