I think this whole thread is being blown out of proportion.
We're seeing bogeymen around every corner. Stop the madness until we can
determine for certain there even is a problem that's worth setting aside all
the principles of justice we hold dear.
Does cheerleading happen? Probably. How big of an issue is it? I don't know.
Until we know for certain, and provide facts, not just speculation, there's
not much point moving on.
