Very, very few contests use proper Cabrillo.
Congratulations to JARL for going with Jabrillo - rather than twist Cabrillo
into something proprietary & still call it Cabrillo - they did their own thing.
Hopefully more contest sponsors will give Cabrillo a miss - I find it easier
to generate a Jabrillo log than some of the deviations out there
masquerading as Cabrillo.
Mal probably doesn't get asked to send in logs as often as I do, but I think
we share the same frustration in trying to do the decent thing & send in a
log. If Cabrillo, then use Cabrillo _as_ defined. If you need something not
in the Cabrillo spec, then do your own thing - just do _not_ call it Cabrillo
& make sure it is well documented.
