Guys

It could be said that this is not an accurate stat.

Essentially of the freeware loggers, SDI and N1MM can be said to be tops. Of
paid-for loggers, Writelog is tops.

What might also be interesting is the software actually used by say the top
ten or top 25 finishers in each division.

Here in 8P, only two of us that I know of use writelog but whenever someone
is interested in participating in a contest, I direct them to N1MM -- it's
free and appears relatively easy to use. Most of them would not purchase a
piece of software for a relatively small interest in contesting.

On the other hand, N1MM is very very important to the serious contesting
community, because it certainly ensures that a number of "part-time"
contesters can participate effectively with all the nice features that they
will want to keep them focused on goals etc. Without a wider and wider
number of participants, we wouldn't get new records and bigger scores.

Just my $ .01 worth.

Look forward to seeing you all during my SOSB 20m effort in the upcoming
CQWW SSB contest -- whatever your logging software... mine can't tell the
difference hi hi.

I'm biased too - SD does this, and more. It runs on any
Windows PC and is free from www.ei5di.com/sd/sdsetup.exe
It is intended for SO unassisted entries.
