It is now 0930Z and there are 3 stations in the 75 meter DX window calling
CQ SS. I tuned up & down the 75 meter band several times and there is more
than 100khz of space above 3800 not being used. The DX window is only 10khz
wide. The band is open right now to the Pacific. Earlier when the band was
open to Europe there was a contest station who was not only calling CQ SS
but was working Europeans when they called him. (I can 100% guarantee you he
knows better). Is there some reason the contest community has no respect for
other users during a contest? There is 200 khz above the 10khz DX window
which can be used for contesting and there were many big unused holes in
that 200 khz. The 5A7 tried to work in the DX window around 0600Z and was
unable because of the contesters.
The contest community virtually destroyed 40 meters during CQWWSSB and made
the DX window impossible to use during SS. What, if any, is the solution?
OR is it every man for himself and the heck with rest of the hobby?
