I do it routinely when getting down to the "short rows" on my mult
checkoff.  If I need Nebraska I call CQ Nebraska.

I also do it if I hear a needed mult in S&P mode.  For example, if I hear
VO1xx work W1xx on W1xx's run QRG, I'll quickly grab a nearby QRG and call
"CQ VO1" hoping the VO1xx is tuning in that direction and hears me.
