If someone came to me and asked if an SS log could be accepted without
any band information - I would probably say "sure - why not?". It has
no real bearing on the contest.
In a contest where you get mults for working guys on different bands
(like the NAQP) - the band really matters. In a contest where you only
get QSO points for working guys again on different bands but not new
multipliers (like maybe the CQP) - I could probably go either way, but
it's just much easier in those cases to say a QSO did not occur if one
guy logs it on 20 meters and the other guy logs it on 15.
Doens't happen often enough to lose sleep over.
