Why would you not log it as "41"? Whether the contest sponsor decides to
apply a penalty or not is irrelevant. A skilled operator will log what is
sent, not what a program provides as a default.
Contest databases have my QTH as MN and this is correct most of the time. In
2007 I operated Sweepstakes CW from Grand Forks, ND. The LCR (log checking
report) following that event revealed the less skilled operators who
disregarded what I sent and logged MN, what their program gave them. The
following year the same kind of errors were reported in the LCR where some
operators logged ND when I was in fact back in Minnesota.
