Perhaps we should get some clarification from the organizers on this one.
That is, is it the intent of the WRTC2018 committee to allow the teams to use
assistance (i.e., Skimmer and recognized spotting networks) during the WRTC2018
competition?
If so, then they are being consistent. If not, then I do find it a bit odd
that contest scores for qualification are being benchmarked against the
backdrop of operating conditions that have little resemblance to what was
required to qualify for the competition.
