I think in some cases that has been the only way that the authorities would give permission for operating on otherwise severely restricted nature preserves ... minimal possible human footprint.

I just read  a note about the KP 5 Expedition. Will that be the future,
that a team dumps a container on a rare DXCC location and then operates it
remote from home ? That is certainly a technical challenge but is that
still in the spirit of a DXCC ?
