Thanks for the tips Mike. I downloaded 9.27 and it works under DOS. Not
under W/95. So it's (at least) a two part problem. The data so far seems
to be:
(1) CT can control the radio (any version 9.xx, DOS or w/95)
(2) CT 9.27 (not 9.37) also tracks changes made at the radio if running
under DOS, but not under w/95

So I think I can eliminate the hardware question, though I guess it's
not impossible that there could be a hardware/software interaction that
might allow 9.37 and/or w/95 setup to work with different serial
hardware or port configuration.

I wanted to be able to run CT and RTTY software at the same time on the
same computer, so that switching to/from RTTY during FD would be easy
(just change focus to a different window). Since the RTTY software I
want to use (Writelog) only runs on w/95, and since the only way I can
get CT to work properly is to run DOS, I'm about to resign to rebooting
in order to change modes.

I'd like to know whether to continue trying to solve this problem or
not. Can anyone confirm any or all of these statements:
(1) CT 9.37 can sense a TS850
(2) CT 9.xx can sense a TS850 under w/95 (if so, what special setup
needed)

And if the (1) is false, then can anybody summarize what I will loose by
using 9.27 instead of 9.37?

Thanks in advance for any info from anybody.
