We have done some testing on the various high output radios and had the test
results verfied with an outside company. Here is what we found:

You should NOT use intersil prism 2 radios with AP-1000 hardware.
This has nothing to do with software...It can deceive you with the results
because sometimes
they will work with our V3 or V4 software. I also remember that one customer
saying 100mw
radios worked with V4.00 but not with V4.02. So it's really UNPREDICTABLE...

This is primarily because of the switching circuit in AP-1000 that cannot
handle
high power transients of prism 2. So, this problem requires a hardware fix
not software.

Testing also observed the similar problem when he used "Buffalo" PCI/PCMCIA
adapters in our flashrom units. When he used "Carry computer" adapters it
worked fine.
Therefore, Prism 2 also did not like Buffalo circuitry...

We recommend intersil prism 2 radios with RG-1000 or flashrom boxes. They
will see that their 100mw radios will work with either V4 or V3.

I have seen this problem only with Prism 2 based radios plugged into
AP-1000.
As far as we can tell Prism 2.5 radios work fine.
