does the SR-4000 license have an 802.11b mode, i.e.: can it be used with a non karlnet access-point?

I got to tell ya. Our current CPE solution that we use is running right at $285. That is for everything.
But also using RG-1100's and SR-4000 license.
With Outdoor Rated Gel Filled CAT5 cable.

Before:
----------
RG = $115.00

After
-------
New MB = $150 + $50 (radio) = $200

Add LMR, connectors, arrestor, POE, antenna, mount, enclosure, and CAT-5.

I thought this new stuff was going to be priced around $300 for an all-in-one with license?  That was what I heard at WISPCON-II.
