I agree, in that case the only CPE should be disconnected, not the whole
network

In this case it is my own personal CPE --- which works 99.999% of the 
time, however what if my neighbor turns on a WIFI AP on the same channel

and starts creating interference for 1 minute? that 1 minute causes the 
entire AP/cpe's to lockup for 5 to 10 minutes. 

but the real Issue is that a single CPE should NOT BRING down the ENTIRE

BASE station and every CPE connected to it, regardless of what happens 
to any given CPE.
