Using PropView, I have generated a set of short-path and long-path
propagation forecasts between each of the 10 continental US call areas and
the Andaman Islands; these forecasts are accessible via
http://www.ambersoft.com/Amateur_Radio/VU4

PropView uses IONCAP as its propagation engine, and produces a graphical
display emulating the propagation charts once published in QST that show
likely openings across a 24-hour UTC day. These forecasts were made using
optimistic parameters, on the assumption that most DXers would rather not
miss an opening, even if it means being QRV when one doesn't materialize.
Experience has shown these predictions to be reasonable on the bands between
40m and 10m. Each QTH's solar position is also shown across the day; the
periods of common darkness will be of interest to low-band DXers.

For those not located in a US call area or for those wishing to modify the
parameters, you can easily generate your own forecast. PropView is free, and
available via http://www.qsl.net/propview/ ; it includes IONCAP.

    73,

         Dave, AA6YQ
