I forgot to mention, it was only about S3 on the Mark V, which is very generous below S9, so that may be other people's S1. Now it is peaking due north at about S6. I'm also hearing a little "motorboat" modulation now that wasn't present earlier. On AM, it sounds like 60-cycle hum.
I have made a 50-second MP3 recording that I'll keep hold of in case anyone wants it.
