My Ford truck was easy to fix. The main problem was the cab
floated on rubber mounts.
When it was floating I had ingress into the electrical
system and egress back into the radio. I'd bet a great deal
of major problems are poor grounding of antennas or perhaps
floating major body panels or whole areas like I had.
I see many people who think a three foot braid to the frame
is a good ground.
