Dave,

Radio shack used to sell small isolating transformers and I thought 
about trying that earlier. That might be a good work-around.

Odd it's only the one headphone and notshowing up on both sides. I'd 
disassemble the thing but I can't see how to separate the different 
parts of the ear piece itself and I'd hate to damage it, it's pricey.

Hmmm, I wonder if maybe the problem is in the cable?
