Kim,
I don't imagine my new Trane heat pump model #4TWR4036D1000AA (April 2019) , 
would live up to your wife's standards but it's a 14.5 SEER that has a single 
speed air handler model #TEM4A0C36S41SAA. It is quiet.

What ever you decide on, add a condition that the installation must be RFI 
quiet into the sales contract. No guarantee but it may help if you run into a 
problem.
