I do use the mixed hyphens thing with relative success in numeric exchanges and 
not being asked for repeats : 599 066-066-066.  The extra speed gained allows 
me to put in the 3rd exchange in just about the same time as in 599 066 066. In 
time the 3rd repeat has proven (to me) more useful than the no hyphen approach 
and using 2 repats. The space after 599 takes care of the USOS issue. My 5x 
exchange repat macro has no hyphens though, just in case.
