Tried a stint of RTTY CQs on 1.830-1.840 a couple months ago with no
takers...
Seems to be a good mode for weak signals on this band but it doesn't seem to
be catching on...

True, there's not much but I do have 26 states worked so far from the west
coast. . Ron, K0IDT has worked them all with JT65.
Keep an ear on 1808 this winter. You never know.
