OK group (and hopefully I was not the K5### that WW3S wrote about - I
never do that other than the few times that NAP3 automatically reset my
split as off but that was another dxpedition and I am embarrassed over
it) - anyway as to RTTY and split opreation am I not using the software
correctly (MMTY) to find the calling station being worked by the DX?
On a DXpedition RTTY split mode, unlike CW where it is possible to
listen for and read the frequency of the calling station being worked,
RTTY on split does not provide that option to print the station on VFOB,
at least not that I can see. No way to print from VFOB to try and find
the station being worked. It becomes a crapshoot (using NAP3 and LP PAN
to try and see the signal of the RTTY station being worked is impossible
with the "call all of the time" crowd.) Is there any way around this?
Hopefully I have overlooked some command or system to read both VFOA and
VFOB on my FT5000 on any RTTY program???

Actually I have thought many times of creating a site dedicated to RTTY DXing.
I even went so far as to inquire about the site name (rttydxing.com OR
rttydx.com). Unfortunately I do not have the time to dedicate to it.
Maybe when I retire? That will probably not happen either. HI

First off Alex, thank for your contribution to ham software, I use (and registered) several of your
products.....timing in the pileup is critical, as is tuning off the last station worked...how much depends on the
situation, no real set amount.....true tailgating, if done correctly, is a good technique, but I feel has
contributed to all the out of turn calling lately.....and thats not tailgating......when a station clearly comes
back to SP1ABC, then K5ABC should not be calling, thats just good manners, and probably something their mothers
should have taught them.....sounds like you have your macros set, which is another plus......nothing breaks the
rhytym of VE3XYZ 599 TU like “Hi my name is Peter and I’m in EN91 runninga TS440 to a Butternut
vertical “...... Don AA5AU is an accomplished web author, I havent checked his site, but that would be a
good place to start with some DO’s and DONT’s of rtty dxing.....

I started chasing DX using RTTY three months ago, after 35 years of
DX'ing CW only. Trying to learn the new mode, I searched the
Internet for RTTY tutorials, and I found quite a few, but all of them
either explained how to set up MMTTY, the software that I do not use,
or how to operate in the contests. The only presentation on RTTY
DX'ing I could find just told me that I needed two macros, my callsign
and "599 TU" - something that I had already figured out myself. How to
crack the pileups, how to find the DX listening frequency, how to
choose the right time to send your call - none of this was covered in the
publications that I could find. I know that many of the subscribers to this
list are experienced RTTY DX'ers, even though it is a contesting list, some are
even on the Honor Roll - perhaps you guys could share your RTTY DX'ing
techniques with those of us who are just making their first steps in this area.
Having no RTTY-specific skills, I tried to use my CW techniques to
crack the RTTY pileups, and this worked, to some extent, but I quickly
discovered that there are some important differences between the two
modes that needed to be addressed. For examnple, in CW I use QSK to
know when the DX
