I know this is gonna sound goofy, but I have found the
10 dollar MFJ 281 "ClearTone" speaker to be exceptional.
Hey, for 10 bucks it may be worth a try for you.... I also have
a hearing deficiency and it works for me. (Too many DX
pileups digging for the weak ones when all of a sudden the
5 kw station comes calling on the DX freq, hi....that'll take
its toll on your ears!).
