Hi Tom:
I to got my Jupiter back from TT wed. with a in-op ATTN. They said L160
was open. Anyway I exchanged it for my IC-718 which I have been using while
Jupiter was being repaired. The 718 was connected to my long wire end fed
right out of the transmatch. To make a long story short the RF got into my
Jupiter and I could not use it on the L wire, so I put it on my dipole and
everything works great. Oh, yes all my comments here are made on the fact I
was using a amplifier at 450W PEP.

My only comment is the Jupiter cannot stand any RF in the shack, but
never bothered my ICOM or my JRC JST-145. Talked to TT on phone and they
said some radios like the Jupiter (computer based) cannot operate in high RF
environment and for me to get rid of the RF.

In my 50 years of ham radio I never had a receiver or transceiver that
could not be used with a end fed long wire.
