John, et al.

I used to run a Triton IV /M but wanted
30m so bought
a Delta. Nice rig, at the time too nice
for /M, and noise
blanker had no affect. Sold the Delta
and bought an IC735
which had bonus for SWLing. Son (KB0DON)
has borrowed the
IC735 so also am looking for another /M
rig. Will have to
go back to the Triton with no 30m until
suitable rig is
located. Its noise blanker is great,
wish the Delta had
been as good.

Screwdriver aerial is homebrew, been
running for 3 years
and best /M antenna I have used. Can't
comment on the
commercial jobs.

Why do you want to run cw QRO? I have
never had reason to
run more than 70w. Last Field Day W0GI
and I ran /M QRP
(cw) and no lack of contacts, even CQs
were usually
answered. Rig was the Triton IV again.

BTW, anyone on here running hf /BM
(bicycle mobile)? I have
an Elecraft K1 setup on 30m. Antenna is
a hamstick. Am
amazed how far one can communicate with
so little.
