The saving grace here is that all manufactures have the same opportunity 
to bet bashed. I think the Eham forum is a great means of passing along 
one's "feelings" but seldom do we see any technical data posted. These 
same type forums exist for most any appliance. Check out epinion.com. 
Here, you can find out about washing machines, vacuum cleaners etc. 
Recently I researched carpet shampooers and made a determination on which 
one to buy from epinion.com. My choice turned out wonderfully although I 
did have to wade through some useless postings. 

So yes, these public forums will affect sales and rightly so. Question: 
Would it be advisable for manufactures such as TenTec to solicit their 
customers to post their opinions to eham? Assuming positive postings from 
happy buyers would boost sales, it might be a good idea.
