The sloper tends to favor the direction of its lowest leg. However, an alternate antenna, is to bring off the half wave as a sloping leg, then at the center feed point, angle back toward the support, so you have created an arrowhead shaped half wave antenna. Center feed it and it will save you some of the horizontal run needed by a conventional half wave. You of course, have to have a guy line to hold the angle of the upper sloping wire down to an anchor point. GL, Stuart K5KVH |
