Neither the Norcal nor the code warrior have springs - Both are magnetic -
the Vibroplex is much nicer than the Norcal and cost $99 - I don't know what
the Norcel kit cost, but it was 1/2 or less of the Vibroplex when available.
You are correct that they are well suited to carry to field operation or
mobile use.
