I seem to recall that Scott posted, several months ago, that there was
about a 5% return rate for TenTec gear. I appreciate him posting that
metric and I wonder how that compares with other brand customer
satisfaction? Of course, most other brands just don't have the 30 day
return policy so I'm not sure that we can compare apples to apples.
So, if TecTec has sold 1000 Orions (I just made up that number), there
are probably 50 unhappy prior owners +/_. Again, I'm not sure how this
would compare across all the brands. I have owned new National, Galaxy,
SBE, Drake, TenTec, Icom and Yaesu gear. I don't recall being unsatisfied
with any of it, but I did upgrade from time to time.
All I can say is that I have been very pleased with my Orion. Now for
that color display and bandscope that really works!

Bernard, WA4OEJ
