John - Perhaps you should follow the instruction that Dr. Gerald N. Johnson has suggested. Obviously paralleling a resistor in this case doesn't seem to work. Guess Paul at T-T is correct. Too bad that the 10-t pot is a bit too deep. Have you tried to put it in?
