The module circuits of the Scout/ 556 look pretty simple to tune up. I have had mine apart considering what it would take to extend the 10m range to the high end of ten. The box is not too complicated. A suitable box could be fabricated of hobby plastics. The RF connectors are really coaxial power jacks mounted on the filter circuit board. Everything else enters/ leaves thru PCB edge fingers. It is an elegant design, and has proved quite durable in spite of some feeling the plug in boxes would not hold up. -Stuart K5KVH _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
